Rules of participation in the Competition Program

GENERAL INFORMATION: select the tab for reading

The program of the Russian Art Week is open to any region of the Russian Federation, as well as from any country in the world. 

REGISTRATION:  until 19 October 2018 (inclusive).

Exhibition dates: 

October 30 - November 7, 2018, 11.00-21.00.

Exhibition opening: October 31,  2018, 18.00.

Announcement of winners: November 4, 2018, 17.00

Address: Congress and Exhibition center "Danilovsky "(Moscow, Dubininskaya street, 71/5, metro station " Tulskaya")  

Age of participants of Russian Art Week - over 18 years of age. 

Geography: authors of any country have the right to take part in The Russian Art Week. Participants from Russia and foreign countries have equal rights. 

Number: the author can submit to the competition and exhibition any number of art objects that need to be registered as independent art objects. 

The competition, exhibition and fair: art objects registered for the competition program are exhibited in the exhibition space and automatically participate in the fair program, if the author indicates the cost of the work in the label. 

Official language of Russian Art Week: Russian and English. 

Full-time participants provide the exhibition with originals, giclee or copies of their works in the original size, prepared for exposure.

Correspondence participants exhibited at the exhibition in the form of photocopies, which are printed and issued by the organizing Committee.

Professional category: "Member of the Union of artists", "Profi", "Student", "Amateur".

More:

а) Category: "Member of the Union of artists":

artists and masters who are members of professional associations (the Union of artists of Russia, the Creative Union of artists of Russia, the Moscow Union of artists, the St. Petersburg Union of artists, the Trade Union of artists of Russia, the Eurasian Art Union), or consists in offices of the specified unions.

б) Category «Profi»:

authors who work professionally in the field of art, do not have membership in these unions or have membership in unions and associations not listed above.

в) Category «Student»:

students and students of specialized art schools, as well as graduates who have completed training no later than 2 years;

г) Category «Amateur»:

authors who do not have special art education, creating works as a hobby for personal self-realization.

Each of these categories is competing within its category.The Expert Council (Jury) evaluates these categories separately.

 

1) The works submitted to the contest must be the author's works, not copies of other artists. The signature, seal or any other identification mark of authorship in any place of the photo image is allowed. Subsequently, the contest images are published with the author's distinctive signs. Inscriptions with the names of art objects on the front side are not allowed.

2) The competition can be submitted as a single work, and a series. Calculation of the cost of participation in the case of a series published in the cost of participation.

3) Full-time and part-time participants provide the same set of registration materials: application form, photos of the works and the author, labeling.

4) Technical characteristics of art objects provided for the competition and exhibition:

а) full-time participation: allow the canvas size to 220 cm on the larger side. If the size of the art object is more than 100 cm, the entrance fee is paid with a proportional coefficient (it is necessary to know the size of the coefficient in the organizing Committee).

b) absentee participation: file not less than 200 dpi, up to 20 MB each. The photographic image can contain only a signature (copyright) marks. Names of works on the photo of the contest works are not allowed.

5) Registration of full-time competitive works:

а) full-time work should be provided with a label-inventory (label standard 10x6 cm., in the lower right corner, on the front side). The label includes: а) name of the author (co-authors); b) city; c) name of artwork; d) nomination; e) technique; f) sizes; g) creation year; h) the cost of the work (optional).

b) full-time work should have mounts / hooks for hanging on a vertical panel or mounts and supports to prevent the object from collapsing.

6) Making part-time work:

Correspondence competition entries are submitted to the organizing Committee in the form of files in the format .jpeg or .tiff; at least 200 dpi, up to 20 Mb.

Stage 1:

the author or his representative (producer) sends an e-mail to the organizing Committee (info@artweek.ru) next set of materials:

1) application form (download in Word, PDF format)

2) labels for each art object (download in format Word, PDF);

3) photo of the author (at least 3x4 cm in size, color or stylized);

4) photo images of contest works (not less than 200 dpi, not more than 20 MB);

Stage 2:

The organizing Committee examines the submitted materials and sends a confirmation to the author on the possibility of participation in The Russian art Week.

Stage 3:

The author pays the registration fees and sends a copy or scan of the payment to the email address of the organizing Committee.

Stage 4:

The administrator of the organizing Committee sends the registration "participant Number", which confirms participation in the competition program (the number is placed in the label, which the organizing Committee sends to the author). The number of labels corresponds to the number of submitted art objects.
